This is the first blog entry in a series which will outline the best riding routes in cities around Australia.

1.The Brisbane City Long Loop

Brisbane, like most cities in Australia, is built around a river and on the coast. As is often the case with river cities, there are a tonne of waterside cycle paths which are just perfect for the electric scooter rider. Here are some of our favourites:

This route is 25 Kilometres long and is suited to electric scooters with great range capabilities lIke the Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11+ (150Km Range).

Allow a minimum of 2 hours for this route or longer if you'd like to stop and take in the views here and there.

You'll pass the historic Regatta Hotel, take in the picturesque University of Queensland campus, the UQ Art Museum and plenty of wildlife on the way. Highgate hill on Dornoch Terrace dishes up some stunning city views and Orleigh Park is a great place to stop and take in the river. Grab some lunch at a trendy West End cafe to complete your ride.

2. The Full River Loop

A huge favourite with locals, the Full River Loop is around 35Kms all up. An extension of the Mini Loop, the Full Loop continues on to St Lucia and Indooroopilly.

You'll cross the river over the historic Indooroopilly bridge and past some Brisbane's most elite real estate before linking back up to the Mini River Loop at Dutton Park.

3. The Eastern River Loop

This is a personal favourite of mine. At around 25kms you'll want to ride an electric scooter with a range over 75km's for comfort. Again, Kaabo has you covered with models well above that range but even a Segway Ninebot Max (65Km Range) should get you around the route with no problems.

On your route you'll enjoy riding above the river along the boardwalk, take in the Brisbane's beautiful Botanical Gardens, you'll get an iconic view of the Storey Bridge and the city from the Kangaroo Point cliffs, and ride past the historic wool houses in Teneriffe.

Starting at the Botanic Gardens you'll ride through New Farm, Cross the river on the ferry (E Bikes are allowed) and you'll be in the heart of the Brisbane's ultra cool Bulimba Precinct. This is a great place to stop for a bite to eat at one of the trendy coffee shops or cafes along the main street.

Work your way back to Southbank Parklands via the Riverside Boardwalk and cross the bridge back to where you started.

Brisbane is a beautiful city to explore and QLD's progressive electric scooter laws allow you to ride on Local Streets (streets with speed limits under 50Kmh), Shared Pathways, Bike Only Pathways, and Green Streets making Brisbane one of the most electric scooter friendly cities in Australia.

Grab your E Scooter and cruise Brisbane city this weekend. You never know what you might find.
